Dropped Kerbs are not fit for purpose
Reported in the Footpath / pavement problem category anonymously at 15:22, Fri 3 July 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2184445.
1. I have complained many times re the crossing at The Marroway Roundabout the particular two drop kerbs either side of the Wendover Road are an absolute disgrace . Both are step kerbs ... no way can they be classed as dropped kerbs and are not equal access for a Disabled people in wheelchairs or the Blind ... no tactile slabs to indicate the pathway edge. The traffic was bad before lockdown and now things are beginning return to the new normal ... the traffic is even worse and with the social distancing Iām now more or less forced to stay on the road because of the state of the pavements and the lack of suitable dropped Kerbs. Which Buckinghamshire Council see to be failing miserably to Treat Disabled people with equal Access Also on the same Path Stoke Mandeville side towards Station Road roundabout 2 The cycle path on the Stoke Mandeville side towards Aylesbury ... past the Enterprise Dump to the Station Road Roundabout the owners are not cutting their hedges back especially outside the houses as you near Station Road roundabout. The brambles and overgrown hedges especially near Station Road Roundabout are causing great distress as not enough room to social distance and the owners of the property seem not to bother even cutting back the hedge with brambles growing trough it.
