Alongside Treadaway Hill Road between Loudwater and Flackwell Heath

Hi Buckinghamshire Council,

Thorny bushes extending out onto the narrow pavements up and down Treadmill Road hill between Loudwater and Flackwell Heath:

I walked with my small children (or I pushed their double buggy) up and down the hill on the Treadaway Hill between Loudwater and Flackwell Heath, on school days.

In winter, the steeply-inclined pavements are mossy and slippery. In summer, there are many thorny bushes that tend to extend out onto the narrow pavement along side the busy road with lots of cars going up and down in speed.

We have to be extra careful to avoid any thorny branch (which tend to be on the same heights as the children's eyes and faces or going low enough to scratch their little knees and legs) while making sure that we don't fall onto the busy road alongside, while avoiding the overhanging bushes and hedges. My children sometimes came home with scratches on their knees and legs.

As this is essential school route to us (the only bus that runs from Loudwater to Flackwell Heath, Bus 35, runs infrequently and it doesn't run in time for school drop-offs and pick-ups, could you clear the dangerous overhanging thorny bushes from this area and maintain the pavements please? It is used by not just school children and parents but also, walkers and jokers alike.

Thanks so much... Looking forward to hearing from you....

Cheers, Catherine Barry
