To The Local Area Technician,
Thank you for your reply, although I am not happy with your response.
The reason that I reported these tree’s to Sue in Customer Svs, which have often been of concern (and I have watched them SWAYING in the wind over many years!!) is because two similar trees came down in Bourton Park at the end of June. My concern is that if the trees did fall in the direction of our house then they would cause damage to the property, ourselves but more worryingly to my Grandchildren.
''Although there is no imminent work planned, this area will be included in a planned comprehensive survey of the tree planting on the ring road, the results of which will enable us to determine a sustainable management strategy.’'
I would also like to know when the above comprehensive survey is planned and where I can view the results? Perhaps someone could take into account the possibility of a substantial year round screening from the ring road? These tree give only limited visual cover during summer time only as the canopy is so high, then all the leaves fall into our garden, the trees get taller and so it goes on!
I am not satisfied that these trees will never fall once there swaying days are over, but if you are then please confirm this in your reply.
Please see attached photos of the trees from Bourton Park.
Regards Julie Woolley ------------------------------------------------------- Dear Ms Wolley I refer to your recent report on FixMyStreet The site has been visited and it is noted that there are a number of tall trees which will naturally sway in the wind. Although there is no imminent work planned, this area will be included in a planned comprehensive survey of the tree planting on the ring road, the results of which will enable us to determine a sustainable management strategy.
