Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2196686.
I would like to report an car accident happened yesterday, July 11th 2020, at around 10:15am, caused by an obstruction on the Taplow Common Road, roughly around 51°32'48.7"N 0°40'27.0"W Google Maps coordinates. The object is a large wooden log resting on the slope near the road, on the left hand side when driving towards Clivenden Park; the log's tip is sticking out onto the road and it caused the front passenger wheel rim of my car to get mangled and the tyre to burst. My wife was driving the car with two of my children when this happened. She managed to get the car to the Feathers Pub (SL1 8NS) around the corner to stop and change the wheel. Later in the afternoon, when driving back, I took a video of the obstruction. It looks like it has been there for some time because the tip is pointy and hazardous, probably shaven off by many cars passing over it and turning it into a large sharp object on the road. I reported this to the police and they informed me I needed to contact the council about the obstruction that caused the accident. I also would like to know how to claim the repairs to the council please.
