Footpath, Meadow Way: just afternoon Tesco Express, by the hall.

Reported in the Footpath / pavement problem category anonymously at 02:16, Sun 2 August 2020

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

Meadow Way. On the footpath between tesco express and the hall walking downMeadow Way. There is a grey utility cover on the footpath, left hand side of road. Whilst walking tonight, I stood on the grey cover as I was walking and it gave way, causing my foot/leg to fall down the hole and I fell over. This has caused bruising to my shin. This is a dangerous hazard.

I have been back today to take a picture of the location. Whilst the water cover is on, you only have to push it for it to dislodge (hence me stepping on it made it give way). I am really worried that someone will get badly hurt. I’ve attached pic of my bruised swollen leg. Please fix this issue asap

  • Dear team

I reported this to you online on 1/2 Aug 2020. It has now come to my attention that the same thing happened to another lady on Thu 20 Aug resulting in a trip to A&E and a sprained ankle. The cover is now finally boarded off.

I am disappointed this was not actioned and no one has contacted me with an update. My leg is still swollen and sore 3+ weeks later.

    Kind regards Margaret Brooks
