Reported in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 12:36, Mon 17 August 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2249471.
I’d like to report that a heavy downpour had once again caused our driveway, No59, and neighbouring driveways to flood this morning. The pictures don’t quite do it justice and I can’t seem to add a video.
Essentially the kerb weir on the main road, opposite the bus stop is blocked and not carrying away rain water. Causing the whole road to flood.
There is one drain in the road in which the rain doesn’t even reach, and another which cannot cope and so rain water runs down the pavement into the drive away. The drain on the boundary of our property is not sufficiently coping and MUST be looked at with a matter of urgency.
We now panic as soon as it rains because it’s reaching our front door, even in just a normal down pour. We have had to make our own sandbags to protect the building.
This issue is widely reported and the Council must now take action before Winter hits and my house is flooded.
I’d be happy for someone to come and talk to me and take pictures. It’s now a matter of urgency. I shall report this to my councillor also.
