Flooding to driveway
Reported in the Flooded subway category anonymously at 10:55, Wed 19 August 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2253198.
Ongoing problem with flooding from Bradenham road. Water is not being directed to the drain. We were advised on a previous visit from the council that the solution to this would be to raise the kerb stones on the drive in order to direct the water to the nearest drain. The council have been out & cleaned the ditches but this it hasn't really helped the situation. Each time we have a heavy downpour this is the result. Water is running down the drive into the property outbuildings causing water damage.

We raised this issue with fix my street back in August & still have no update or resolution to resolve our flooding problem. I received a notice that Bradenham road will be resurfaced yet again on the 9th November. would there be an opportunity to fix our flooding issue at the same time since you will be digging up the road? If someone could get back to me either way. It would be good to get a reply at least as all my notes are being ignored it seems.

Thank you for your report; the repair has been added to our programme of works.
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a timescale for this work to be carried out as we programme the work on a priority basis (in line with our Highway Inspection Policy). This does mean that sometimes planned programme times may need to be changed due to priority based working.
Please be assured this problem is on our list of works to be carried out. We will continue to monitor all defects to ensure the safety of our residents as part of our Highways Inspection Policy which can be accessed via the link below:
