Bushes over hanging into the road and drain blocked
Reported in the Street cleaning category by Sherrilyn Bateman at 23:37, Sunday 23 August 2020
Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later
A large area of bushes are hanging into the road. Although a road sweeper, provided by HS2, tried to clear the drain area last week (on both sides of the road) it could not get close enough on this side due to the bushes. The drain therefore continues to be blocked by normal tree and leaf fall but also many drinks cans. The bushes are hindering the clearance of the drains and the roads are backing up with water when rain falls.
One end of the gully has been emptied of rubbish but not the other. And the whole length has not been swept as the bushes have grown into the road so the sweeper cannot get close enough so it's still blocked.
