Verge at the corner of Bockmer Road and Bockmer End Road in Bockmer End
Reported in the Ditch issue category anonymously at 14:28, Fri 28 August 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2268249.
Two large trenches were dug in June and left unfilled. The trenches are at least 1.4m deep and one trench is 19m long the other is 10m. this is a extremely dangerous to leave these trenches open and could cause serious injury expecially as the nettles are overgrowing the trenches so that is difficult to see where the trenches are. I have reported this via the phone over a month ago and given a reference number of 46072538 but this does not seem to work. Contacting Bucks transport leaves me on perpetual hold as noone seems to pick up.

The foliage and nettles have grown to almost cover the span of the trenches them making only visible from the road at the moment and this is only since June when they were dug. Anyone walking across the top of this verge would not be able to see the span of these trenches and there is a real concern that someone could fall down them and seriously injury themselves as they are so deep. The open trenches now make it impossible/dangerous to cut/strim the verge which is done by the Council once a year to clear the view from the left for cars coming to the road junction from Lower woodend, it is only a matter of time before someone is injured. Two calls to Highways has resulted revealed that paperwork for the works carried out can not be found. Any my refernces numbers not working.
