Re Report no. 46072840
This report referred to the installation of a replacement gate at the Carver Hill Road entrance to the Queen Elizabeth (aka Shelley Fields) recreation ground in High Wycombe.
On the 25th August I received the following email:-
“Dear Mr XXXX, Reference report number 46072840 thank you for your enquiry. I am sorry but I have no knowledge of who replaced the gate. this was not work that was done by Transport for bucks. Do you know who the contractors were
If you wish to raise a new report please do so using our Report It website. Please provide as much detail as possible to assist in resolving your report. http://transportforbucks.net/ report-it-general.aspx
Regards Transport for Buckinghamshire”
This message was headed “Enquiry Resolved” (which it hasn’t been) and I notice it wasn’t signed by the officer concerned, possibly because of its dismissive tone.
I replied to the message on the 26th August, providing the details of the contractor, as requested, and, as the contractor had told me he was working under the instructions of the Council, I asked for assurance from Transport for Buckinghamshire that the matter would be resolved.
I have received no such assurance, nor even an acknowledgement that my message has been received.
My complaint was that the gate had been installed leaving a large gap accessible to vehicles as large as quad bikes and to fly tippers. I now notice that the gate can also be lifted off its hinges and swung open giving access to motor vehicles.
Can I please have your assurance that these concerns will be dealt with.
