The original report was unfortunately incorrectly recorded as there was no mention of any standing water entering the property, nor was a request made to lower the road surface to be level to the dropped kerb. The issue (which was also raised with the chief operator of the road crew when working in Perry Street) relates to the fact that, in order to achieve a level top-surface on the road, there is now a gap of approx 7 cm between the road surface and the dropped kerb at one end of the driveway entrance, as well as a small dip which is very likely to collect rain/run-off water (ice/snow in winter conditions) and over a period of time has the potential to have a detrimental impact on the road surface outside the property. We would like a transport adviser to investigate this matter, with a view to addressing this issue as soon as possible. This correction to the original report was relayed to Sue in transport advice on Weds.9th September at approx. 14.30. Thank you.
