Confusing signage
Reported in the Sign problem category anonymously at 17:47, Thu 24 September 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2310497.
There is a sign in the loading bay for the council offices which says left turn only.
This sign applies to the loading bay only (BAM site traffic officer Sept 2020)
This sign does not apply to the junction with Chiltern Avenue. (BAM site traffic officer Sept 2020)
The sign should in my opinion be a one way sign on the hoarding opposite the bay. Otherwise there is confusion. Some people think this applies to the junction but it does not.
Options:
Change sign for a one way sign. Needed anyway.
Change priorities at the junction to make it left turn only. Unnecessary as this will just transfer the problem to the station exit. But it is what people currently mistakenly think so may be an option.
Whatever you do something is needed as it is the confusion and misunderstanding that makes this dangerous.
I have previously e mailed you on this issue and I have spoken to BAM but nothing changes and the danger persists.
