Pole in private garden needs moved onto highway verge
Reported in the Street light dim category by Greg Lismore Parish Clerk Long Crendon at 10:58, Fri 25 September 2020

Eastern Power Networks plc (EPN) the statutory successor to the Eastern Electricity Board and the electricity distribution network operator in the East of England. UK Power Networks (Operations) Limited (UK Power Networks) manages the electricity distribution network in the East of England on behalf of EPN. A request has been received to relocate pole indicated on the attached plan. The pole has been left at this location due to the presence of the street light shown in the image below. Currently the pole is situated on private property and was previously held on a wayleave agreement which Iām sure you are aware is a rolling licence that follows the owner of the land. There has been an ownership change which brings the agreement to an end, in effect it is no longer valid. The new land owner wishes to undertake works on their land and the pole is in their way and has requested the pole is moved. However the pole provides no benefit to the distribution network since the overhead network diversion happened a few years back and it was left in place to maintain the street light at the time. The Parish Council have been requested to action this but have had no response from County Highways on what the process is to achieve this. We need a new pole on the highway verge, the electricity supply and fitting moved. Help Please Colin ?
