Update on when West Street, Ardenham Street and Mount Pleasant will be finished
Reported in the Road lines / road markings category anonymously at 11:31, Fri 25 September 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 2311230.
Resurfacing on West Street, Ardenham sSreet and Mount Pleasant began a couple of days before the lock down in March began so understandably it was not finished. However, many months later Ardenham Street still does not have a proper surface and raised iron works and most importantly there are no double yellow lines anywhere. Because there are no double yellow lines, people are parking everywhere, making things at best inconvenient and at worst very dangerous. I have witnessed work vehicles get stuck because they were not able to physically get past the cars parked on the corners. I personally have had to reverse on to the main Bicester Road to allow other cars to get out of West Street, which is a risk to my personal safety due to the excessive traffic and speeds of those on the main road. I also have great concerns of what would happen if an emergency vehicle was needed on Ardenham street. In there evenings there would very little chance for a fire engine to get into Ardenham Street at all. Please can you let me know when we can expect the road works to be finished? Or at the very least can some temporary yellow lines be painted to prevent the idiotic parking?
