Traffic flow and dangerous roads
Reported in the Footpath / pavement problem category anonymously at 11:46, Wed 30 September 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2318561.
In parts Nags Head lane is narrower than a single track road. Cars park outside houses and further reduce the size of the road. The Martinsend lane road closure, combined with the one way traffic flow in only 1 part of the village, combined with the chaotic traffic flow throw Great Missenden village high street (almost impassable at key travel periods) is throwing a lot of traffic including heavy goods vehicles down Nags Head Lane. This is making it extremely dangerous for any foot pedestrians at the moment (kids going to catch school buses etc) and is causing damage and further potholes at the end of our driveway. Furthermore, we have already had our driveway wall knocked down previously - if this happens again, I assume the council will put it to rights, given there is no clear organisation to the traffic flow at the moment. This has been ongoing since the roadclosure on Martinsends lane .
