Footpath outside Stratton Cottage and Woodpeckers
Reported via desktop in the Footpath / pavement problem category anonymously at 15:32, Sun 4 October 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2324655.
I understand Cllr Geoff Cox has contacted you in August 2020 with regards to the footpath outside Stratton Cottage and Woodpeckers on Hollybush Hill, Stoke Poges, SL2 4PX. The footpath is horrendously uneven, and my elderly neighbour Thelma Cross, copied into this email has to walk across this every day with her walking frame. Please see attached picture. My concern is that the uneven path will lead to her falling and causing a severe injury. She has raised this issue with Cllr Geoff Cox and she was sent the attached letter to say it would be fixed in 5 days, date on letter is 06/08/2020. However to date nothing has been done. Please provide an email, and I can send you this letter received. This footpath has been highlighted to your department in 2016 and a very poor effort was made to only fix the deepest of the holes rather than smooth out the entire path, this is extremely concerning and a waste of public funds especially as the workmen and machinery had been deployed, surely it would have been in the public interest to complete the job properly and we would not be here a few years later. I understand Mrs Crosse will be getting in touch with Cllr Geoff Cox again, but in the meantime we thought it would be best to contact the department directly. If this email needs to be directed to another email address could you kindly advise.
