LC002 - Outside no 3 Windermere Close
Reported via desktop in the Street light not working category anonymously at 09:17, Mon 19 October 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2347058.
A "street light" is called that for a reason. It is not called a "street dark". . It beggars belief that a shield to stop the street light from doing it's designated job of lighting the street has been fitted. This has created a sudden light to dark line which has plunged the entrance to Windermere Close and my property into near complete darkness. This close is full of elderly people (as indeed we are) and there is a constant problem of vehicles parked on the pavement on the corner, meaning elderly pedestrians are forced to walk into a dark area of the road. This sudden light to dark line has now created a very dangerous "black spot" and needs the light to be restored immediately to it's original state. We pay our council tax and want our light back.
This was reported on 7th September and the nights are now getting darker much earlier, so people are facing the risks even more.
