Dangerous pavement

Reported via desktop in the Footpath / pavement problem category anonymously at 10:31, Tuesday 20 October 2020

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

Pedestrian fall at 'top' of Market Square, outside Chancellors estate agents at about 12pm Monday 19 October and close to a traffic sign at the entrance to Market Street.

My wife fell forward, full-length onto the pavement fortunately without serious injury. Staff in Chancellors brought out a chair for her to recover herself. Having done so, we continued with our business.

The fall was caused by a set projecting above pavement level; it was loose in its 'socket'. I could not relocate it in a level position so I placed it under the adjacent traffic sign leaving a hole about 15cmx15cmx15cm.
