Yew Tree Cottage
Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 12:44, Wed 21 October 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2350921.
The road in front of Yew Tree Cottage, is Hollow lane and runs into Skirmett Road. When it rains, the water runs down the hill from around Burrow farm towards Skirmett road and should then drain into the drain on the left, just before the road junction. Sadly the said drain is largely (not yet totally) blocked with mud and thus in heavy rain, as this morning, we have a muddy river flowing past our house because it can only drain in little measure. It will have drained a few hours after the rain ceases. In the interim, this puts our property at serious risk of flood on a frequent basis. I understand that it did flood in 2000/2001. This is the third such 'river' to flow in the last 6 weeks.
