Significant flood making road impassable for pedestrians and cyclists
Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category by Joe Kelleher at 15:44, Thu 22 October 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2352968.
For more than a year now; every time it rains this section of Gorelands Lane floods. The flood extends right across the road and for approximately 50 yards along the road. This ongoing issue needs to be fixed once and for all before Winter sets in. It always takes a number of days for the flood water to subside. Once again it has been impossible for pedestrians and cyclists to navigate this section of Gorelands Lane. There is obviously a serious issue with the drains here.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a timescale for this work to be carried out as we programme the work on a priority basis (in line with our Highway Inspection Policy). This does mean that sometimes planned programme times may need to be changed due to priority based working.
Please be assured this problem is on our list of works to be carried out. We will continue to monitor all defects to ensure the safety of our residents as part of our Highways Inspection Policy which can be accessed via the link below:
