Flooded road - road closes every time there is a rainstorm near the recycling plant

Reported via mobile in the Road surface category anonymously at 22:44, Saturday 24 October 2020

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

The road floods everytime it rains for longer than 2 hours and the road often closes. I’ve been living in my flat for 2 and a half months and already the road has closed 3 times. There is no other safe way to get home, and the A40/ Oxford road is a major connection and should be fixed. Tonight we took a ten minute detour to get home and had to drive down roads that are flooded up to my knees and are one car wide. It is so dangerous! It’s pitch black You can’t see floods, there is no road lighting and no space to move when another car comes toward you.

You cannot charge the exorbitant council tax fees you charge and not fix a major connection that consistently closes due to flooding. My car broke this evening from a stick that was floating in a puddle on my detour and got caught in the bottom body of my car. Fix the roads. It’s not safe to drive in these conditions and I fear for my safety with winter coming.
