Overhanging trees
Reported via mobile in the Trees category anonymously at 13:21, Sun 1 November 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2366014.
This stretch of vegetation (separating the main thoroughfare of Henley road and private housing) contains severely overgrown, huge shrubs, weeds and tall trees that overhang the road to the point of damaging vehicles. Cars and large vehicles must swerve into the opposite side of the road to avoid being damaged by branches which scratch paintwork on the side and roof. Many trees are so tall that they are dangerous in a storm and due to past storms, there are loads of broken branches lying on the ground. This stretch of trees form a good barrier to the noise of the main road but it needs debris removal, a good pruning and overhanging tree branch trimming. This area hasn’t been attended to by a gardener for the 4 years I have lived on the road.

The ‘main road’ side of the hedge has been trimmed but this was never the problem. The issue is on the quiet side of the mentioned hedge particularly outside house numbers 10, 12 and 14 Henley Road.
