Blocked drain causing river in food

Reported via iOS in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 15:48, Mon 2 November 2020

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

Can you please inspect this manhole as shown in the photo (dark hole in bottom left of photo), as every time it rains hard a large amount of water gushes out of this hole. Over a period of time it has created a gully (also shown in photo) and eroded the kerb stones and bank further down the hill. The volume of water then rushes down the road/hill, over the bridge, overflows the pavement on Bois Hill, which causes flooding in the first house. The amount of water has eroded the road of bois hill road and made it uneven and dangerous to the access of the footpath off bois hill road. Finally the volume of water/river rushes down towards Woodleyhill and Moor road.

  • With today's rain (14.11.20) the drain, as first reported, is spewing water out of the manhole and causing a river down Bois Lane. This needs urgent attention now we are going to be experiencing more wet weather.

  • The river coming down Bois Hill die to this blocked drain, is flooding and eroding Bois Hill lane. This will need repairing, as it is causing the first house to get flooded.

  • The only thing to have been done is a traffic cone has been placed over the hole. I can only assume the next time we have another large downpour this will also be washed away.
