Outside entrance to HS2
Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 11:56, Tue 10 November 2020
Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later
Constant flooding on this patch of road due to blockage of 3+ storm drains, caused by mud from HS2 site. Reported to Align (principle contractors) numerous times in 2020 and they have confirmed this has been reported to Transport for Buckinghamshire. The photo of the blocked drain is from May 2020 and was shared then.
Why is nothing being done to enable the storm drains to perform their basic function of carrying away rain water?! This is incredibly dangerous to cyclists, pedestrians and drivers. It is also causing serious damage to the road surface and has been going on since last year (2019). Totally unacceptable.

Thank you for your report; the repair has been added to our programme of works.
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a timescale for this work to be carried out as we programme the work on a priority basis (in line with our Highway Inspection Policy). This does mean that sometimes planned programme times may need to be changed due to priority based working.
Please be assured this problem is on our list of works to be carried out. We will continue to monitor all defects to ensure the safety of our residents as part of our Highways Inspection Policy which can be accessed via the link below:

These standard text replies are entirely useless. You claimed to have resolved this issue on June 24 of this year in response to another report on the same problem. How about you don't add another pre-composed response and actually engage with the residents of this county, level with us, and be honest about whether you take issues of road safety seriously enough to unblock storm drains caused by a £100bn+ project destroying the local environment. Have a go.
