Dear Parking Team
I am a resident of Lanewood close, HP7 9 JL. I met John Pateman when a parking consultation occurred last year and discussed a few parking restriction options for our close. I understand my neighbour John Brooks also had consultation with John Pateman.Unfortunately I have not followed it up afterwards
Now, I can see everything is finalised and I understand that our street has not changed from the parking publication .
We had residents meeting recently and the majority of the house owners want to have residents only parking in the close , due to safety concerns (recent burglaries ) in our close and stats in Amersham . When i have discussed with John about parking restrictions in our close last year , he has mentioned that we need majority of the people need to agree to implement the restrictions. Also our close is not very well lit in winter time . How i do take this further with relevant staff in council
We are getting a lot of vehicles from nearby business park and it is very difficult to come inside of the close and going outside of the close , due to parking on the side of the road and the corner of the close. Lot of people turning over inside our street above speed limit , is there any possibility to introduce speed bumps while coming in and going out of our close.
I am co-ordinating the neighbourhood watch programme in our close and we are all members in that programme .
I believe the parking restrictions plan is not implemented yet in Amersham Common ?
Look forward to your feedback on above
