Pedestrian Crossing, just after Rayners Avenue going towards M40 on London Road

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights & crossings problems with buttons, beep or lamps category anonymously at 10:54, Tue 8 December 2020

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

The pedestrian crossing has stopped beeping when safe to cross, which it previously did. This is already a problematic crossing (cars going through on red, already reported but apparently nothing can be done) but the beeping is very useful for those visually impaired and for children, whom we have to teach to look out for cars not stopping, rather than looking at the lights changing colour.

  • This hasn’t been fixed yet. What are the chances it could be fixed before the children go back to school - likely to be around 8th March?

  • Also I was told back in December I would be updated within 10 working days, and other than updating it to “in progress” I have heard nothing else
