Footpath on Whitepit Lane from Thames Water pumping Station to Kiln Cottage Station pullin
Reported via desktop in the Footpath / pavement problem category anonymously at 12:56, Thu 10 December 2020
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2425961.
The section of well used footpath on Whitepit Lane Flackwell Heath to Wooburn Green is not useable. The Tarmac pathway has broken up with a 2 foot deep hole by the pumping station layby caused by an HGV. The path from here to Kiln Cottage driveway is either mud covered due ti flattened verge or impassable due to overgrown hedge. The road kerb at the bend has a depth of mud so deep that no difference from road and verge level so cars run on verge by mistake The verge has been flattened over the footpath. It is clear from Kiln Cottage to Wooburn Green. This is a well used footpath and there is not one on other side. Today I witnessed to runners avoiding this section and using the road (highly dangeous on a blind 1:5 hill.). Please clear and repair this section of footpath as it is now rapidly getting worse and is slippery with the wet mud on a steep hill causing residents to use the road instead.
