Just driven up Wood Lane from Red Lion to 5 Ways when, at about half the way up, the car hit an unseen deep pothole. Revisiting the scene this morning the pothole is about 15 metres past the sign warning of horses on the left and just before the entrance to a house on the right. The pothole measures about 50 - 60 cm wide and has a very steep and jagged edge of about 8 - 10 cm deep - see photos below. Luckily my wife and I were wearing our seat belts else we could have sustained serious injuries. There was no warning signage in evidence nor was the lighting sufficient to illuminate the pot hole.

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2452127.
No warning and poor street lighting meant this was not seen at night and has now seriously damaged the front wheel on my car. If left unattended will cause further serious damage or potential fatalities.
