Noisy drain cover.

Reported via desktop in the Road surface category anonymously at 10:48, Wednesday 20 January 2021

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

The drain cover located in Lane End Road outside No 13 Lane End Road is ill fitting and loose. It’s position in the road means most vehicles travelling towards Lane End drive over it causing loud noise. This obviously happens through the night as well, which I turn makes sleeping difficult. This seems to have occurred since the road has recently been resurfaced and is getting progressively worse.

  • As advised I contacted Thames water. There technician Mr John McGovern reported back to me although the drain covers are marked Thames Water because the road has recently been resurfaced the responsibility is belongs to the County Council. As I have remarked in a later complaint email if service providers talk to each other this would have been resolved last week. The TW reference number for this job is 07544374812. Roger Brooks
