Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2493260.
You have rejected my previous request to restore the sight line from the point where the footpath crosses the A40. I estimate that the visibilty for a pedestrian looking west along the dual carriageway at this point is some 30mtrs. Please would you tell me what the required minimum visibilty splay is at this point. Thanks

Thank you for your report; the repair has been added to our programme of works.
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a timescale for this work to be carried out as we programme the work on a priority basis (in line with our Highway Inspection Policy). This does mean that sometimes planned programme times may need to be changed due to priority based working.
Please be assured this problem is on our list of works to be carried out. We will continue to monitor all defects to ensure the safety of our residents as part of our Highways Inspection Policy which can be accessed via the link below:

I note that this problem has not yet been fixed and remains a serious safety hazard. Indeed a couple of months ago I watched a group of school pupils on a D of E trip having to be waved across this busy road by a teacher who had to stand on the central reservation close to the actual roundabout in order to ensure the safe crossing of the pupils. You have previously stated that the work will be included in a package of works at the same site and I note that urgent repairs are necessary to an adjacent crash barrier and I would hope that the trees could dealt with at the same time, before the young walkers are out again.Thanks.
