Cars using a one way street the wrong direction for shortcut
Reported via mobile in the Road lines / road markings category by MiHayley Price at 06:19, Friday 22 January 2021
Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later
I have reported this to the police via 101 but they insist it is bucks cc issue. This street is one way and often I have met car coming up the hill instead of going down in the direction the one way system signposted is instructing traffic . I am aware that from the mid point of this road it is a two way street but at the bottom of the road there are 2 very clear no entry signs which many drivers have recently decided to ignore due to traffic in town and road works which mean drivers have a slightly longer route via a diversion to reach certain parts of Buckingham however this does not mean they should break road traffic laws and ignore no entry signs and put other road users at risk . Nobody expects to meet a car head on whilst traveling down a one way street. It is a common occurrence recently and something needs to be done before an accident occurs due to these law breaking thoughtless drivers using it incorrectly.
