Overgrown verge

Reported via desktop in the Hedge problem category by Jane MacBean at 12:04, Tuesday 26 January 2021

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

As you travel up Hivings Hill there is no grass verge or footpath for approximately ⅔ of the road. Between Valley View and Hillside the left hand side used to be free of vegetation and was made up of concrete slabs with drainage holes. Over the last few years shrubs and trees have self-seeded, have now become overgrown and are encroaching on the public highway itself. It has reached the stage where road signs and highways warning posts have been completely engulfed. Cars travelling up the Hill have to veer across the white line into oncoming traffic to prevent vehicles being hit and damaged by branches and vegetation. The situation is becoming more and more dangerous along what is a very busy road and a public bus route. All of the vegetation needs to be cut right back or removed so there is no chance of it encroaching on the highway and to uncover the road signs.
