Once again the road and footpath is flooded from the adjacent field, landowner Mr Garrett tel 07486 042720. There is inadequate field drainage and a large pond adjacent to the hedgerow boundary. The former ditch to this boundary has not been dug out for many years it would seem. As a consequence water spills out onto the pathway and road making both impassible on a regular basis. This is a health and safety matter as pedestrian need to walk down a slippery grass bank and into the road to pass. Further, when your road drainage is not flowing freely (thankfully it is today) my property floods. Significant damage was caused on 23rd Dec 2020 despite my reports of this issue on 9th Dec 2020. I’m advised by my legal representative that I may start proceedings against Buckinghamshire Council as, despite repeated and recorded complaints, my property (and that of neighbours) flood as a direct result of your inadequate road drainage regime. You may wish to counter claim against Mr Garrett, given it is his property that is flooding your footpath and the public highway. I’d prefer to sort this out amicably but until the root cause of this matter is resolved my neighbours and I are fearful that our properties will flood once again every time we have heavy rainfall. This is causing significant anxiety and distress. Cllr Clare has been advised and I am awaiting further correspondence on this matter. Urgent action is now required please, this is unacceptable.
