Drain is blocked and acts more like a soakaway. The road regularly floods and last night 13th February 2021 Affinity Water were called out to a major flood in the road and confirmed the drain was blocked and they had to pump into a sewer as the drain was not operating correctly. In Heavy rain this part of the road often floods.

    Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a timescale for this work to be carried out as we programme the work on a priority basis (in line with our Highway Inspection Policy). This does mean that sometimes planned programme times may need to be changed due to priority based working.

  • Today the road is flooding again as the drains (under the water in the attached photo taken today) are not draining. We have had the issue many times recently. I have pictures of the road being flooded and the drains not working on the following dates:- 27 August 2020 24 October 2020 03 November 2020 19 December 2020 and of course Saturday 13 February 2021 and today 17 February 2021.

    Please arrange for this to be fixed ASAP. Thanks Graham Yellowley
