Footway at the junction of Chesham Road and Devonshire Avenue, Amersham
Reported via desktop in the Footpath / pavement problem category anonymously at 10:28, Saturday 6 March 2021
Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later
The contractor who carried out the planing and resurfacing of Chesham Road on 4th and 5th March 2021 parked the paving machine on the footway after completion of the work. (The road roller can still be seen in my photo, taken at 0822 on 6 March, on the opposite footway.) The paver has now been removed, but lumps of bituminous material have been left behind on the footway surface. During the surfacing work on 5 March, I witnessed one of the workers shovelling waste material into the vegetation on the west side of the footway, north of the junction with Hervines Road. Lumps of bituminous material are still lying there, and should be removed.
