Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2595213.
Reported via desktop in the Road surface category anonymously at 09:41, Tuesday 2 March 2021
Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later
Last year the double manhole covers in the main road outside No.1 London Road became loose and dangerous making a loud banging noise 24/7 day and night which we can hear clearly inside our property. These were dug up and fixed towards the end of 2020 last year. They have now dislodged again and are making the same loud banging noise with any vehicle crossing them 24/7.
Thank you for your report.
We have fully investigated your report, however, we have been unable to identify the issue.

HOWEVER.... They have become loose yet again and the noise is as bad as it has ever been. When inspected before by Bucks Roads BT had been to site and lifted the covers the day before and the noise had stopped. This lasted for 1 couple of days and now the noise is as bad as it has ever been.
Problem STILL not fixed.
Please re-investigate.

This has now been over 10 days since this was re-reported yet again.
The manhole cover continues to make a very loud bang 24/7 day and night when a car hits it that we can hear clearly inside our house at all times.
This was re-reported on the 8/3/2021 and your response said someone would attend to investigate WITHIN 10 working days, which should have been YESTERDAY at the LATEST. Please investigate this potentially dangerous fault and rectify once and for all.
