Verges on east side of road running north and south from approximately Ash Garage to end of the rifle rang e spinney

Reported via desktop in the Bollards or railings category anonymously at 09:53, Wed 24 March 2021

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later

HS2 have erected a second line of fencing that is off the hedge line towards the kerb. It is very close to the road in places and makes it extremely dangerous to walk down and combined with the number of HS2 security men that patrol both sides of the fence prevents social distancing. I have regularly walked this verge for 20 years with my dog from Hartley Farm to Wendover. With HS2 taking the land I now use the verge form the bottom of Rocky Lane to the Rifle range where I cross to the path on the west side of the main London Road. It would appear that HS2 are in breach of the field boundaries and old hedgelines. Firstly are they have the authority to do this and if so could you please ask them to move the fencing back to improve safety and social distancing. I am unable to take pictures due to the number of HS2 employees and the busy road. I do appreciate that HS2 have a job to do but not at the cost of safety to the public who do use this verge regularly. Many thanks Best Regards Chris Dunkley
