To my knowledge these trees are never checked and I wonder how safe they are in a high wind.

My daughter lives opposite these trees and if the one blew down it would go straight through her roof and cause considerable damage to her property, possibly the inhabitants and maybe passing traffic.

The likelihood of these trees blowing over increases when they come into leaf.

I also have a friend who lives on this stretch of the hill and she literally has nightmares about the trees coming down!
