Crossroads on Blackgrove road.
Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights problem at temporary roadworks category anonymously at 18:30, Wed 21 April 2021
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2684336.
Why are these 4 way temporary traffic lights at this location. The crossroads has worked perfectly well for all the years i have lived in the area. If it is to cover excess traffic from the closure of Station road in Quainton due to HS2 works it is not necessary. Many times i have sat at the red light on the main through road while the lights run through they`re sequence with no other traffic entering from either the Willows or Berryfields Road. They are nothing but a hinderance and a danger, causing long tailbacks to as far back as Blackberry Farm, vehicles coming around the bend are suddenly confronted with stationary traffic with still 400 yards to the lights. The lights are obviously of no importance outside the hours of 0800-1700hrs or weekends as they are removed. This has now been an issue since 2020 with others also complaining. Please remove these lights with some urgency so the junction can once again function properly.
