I have reported this and you have closed it out stating “ Reference report number 40163024 Thank you for your recent communication with Transport for Buckinghamshire regarding highway drainage.

We write to advise that Transport for Buckinghamshire operates a cyclic gully programme and clearance will take place during this programme. Unfortunately we are unable to give you a date or timescale for this work at the present time, but hope that this work will be completed as soon as possible. ”

From what I understand, your cyclic gully clearance is not a regular schedule. And furthermore this section of the road requires frequent clearance. It floods every time it rains, so adding it to a cyclic clearance which could be yearly or more is not acceptable. It should be a priority to schedule this frequently and as a priority.

When it floods like this as per the pictures it is horrific.

1. Typical cars can not travel through as they risk engine flooding. I’ve seen this numerous times. And my own vehicle was affected in 2020. Are you paying these repair bills? 2. Pedestrians get soaked. I saw an elderly couple (who can not run) waiting to pass while traffic went through. They were waiting sometime and likely to have gotten soaked. 3. It is a highways danger as it can cause an accident. 4. Numerous reports are sent and this is an ongoing issue that actually requires resolving - not constant report/clear. 5. This is a school route. When it becomes impassable this is problematic.

Please stop closing out the reports with the standard email you provide. And FIX the problem!!
