Footpath opposite 50 and 47

Please refer to similar report for Syke Cluan reference number is 40163668.

The horse tail weed is here as well, it is invasive and destructive. The reply to the report above says weed killer will be applied in the summer. Can i ask you to check that the proposed weed killer is effective on horse tail as it may need a different solution. It's roots go very deep and it spreads 10s or meters a year. It is present in many places along Syke Cluan, including already breaking through a section of path laid at the end of last year. It is not my intention to pester, but please do check the proposed solution is adequate for horse tail. Given Somerset way paths were just redone it would be a shame for the weed to ruin it so quickly and spread into people's driveways etc.
