No road signs indicating access toa Business
Reported via mobile in the Sign problem category by Mrs Roisin Stewart at 14:43, Fri 4 June 2021
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2767573.
The charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is located at the Grange on the Wycombe rd. The delivery entrance is on the A4010 at the postcode hp279ns. The A4010 is a 50mph road and is the main route between two neighbouring NHS hospital trusts used frequently by emergency ambulances. There are no road signs on either the North or south approach to indicate that there is an entrance to the delivery entrance for the business. This is dangerous as cars and deliveries especially those turning right into the premises (so coming from Princess Risborough towards HW) can be stopped on the carriageway waiting to turn off the road but other road users travelling at speed 50 mph have no warning that there is a entrance junction up ahead. The approach described above is also after a sweeping bend in the road. This entrance has been the location of many near misses and just this week an accident on Tuesday 1st June at 10.45 involving three cars who shunted a stationary vehicle who was indicating and turning right as described in the brackets above into the delivery entrance of Hearing Dogs. Thankfully no one was badly hurt but the police attended the scene and an ambulance was called. My request is that some kind of warning signs is installed on the approach to the charity delivery entrance which will indicate a junction or possible stationary traffic.
