Overgrown footpath - bull lane to orchehill avenue

Reported via mobile in the Weed problem on the highway category anonymously at 20:30, Sunday 6 June 2021

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

I have to report this once before but got told it was not the councils responsibility, I have been in contact with Chalfont St. Peter Parish Council, who I form me it is not their responsibility and it is the councils. I had this response parish councils have the option to undertake the Devolved Services contract from Bucks, some do and some don’t however, the Fixmystreet response is a standardised response. I would suggest you respond stating that CSP did not take on the Devolved Responsibility for 2020-2022 and therefore it is their responsibility.

The footpath is so overgrown with weeds and vegetation that my child cannot ride her bike along there to school without being stung by a stinging nettle. In this day and age we should be encouraging using the footpaths and walking to school but it’s difficult when a child thinks she is going to get hurt. Only the other day she fell into the fence trying to avoid the nettles. The path itself is narrow and trying to social distance is very difficult. Gerrards cross parish council are trimming their path as it is their responsibility so I am just trying to get a safe passage along the whole footpath so children and residents can enjoy their surroundings and get to school Unhurt .
