Still flooded subway

Hi there. It is sad to see that this has still not been cleared. The mud had blocked the drains, as I noted before, so they are unable to cope with any rain at all. The underpass has been flooded since the rain on Friday. Again, parents and children are having to cross the A413 to get to schools, which is not safe. Please can you update as to when this will be cleared and cleaned? Thanks

Hi there. Thank you for your assessment, but I am afraid I disagree on its urgency. There is a Montessori school at one end of the subway and parents typically (and are encouraged) to use the car park on Church Lane and walk through the subway. Also, any child/parent on that side of the village who goes to Chalfont Community College or CSP Academy, as my children do, uses that subway. It is an essential connection for the village. Again, this morning, I witnessed children attempting to cross the busy dual-carriageway of the A413 in order to get to school. It is dangerous for the subway to be impassable. Please come during rush hour and watch the kids trying to cross the dual-carriageway and see what you think then.
As it is, the water has not fallen as it has nowhere to go - it is like a swimming pool down there. It will not change unless you do something about it! I hope this isn't once someone gets hit trying to cross the road.
It's more frustrating that this could have been avoided if my report (still unreplied to) of May 27 had been heeded, where I warned that the subway was full of mud from a previous flooding and needed cleaning before the next rain came.
I recognise that there are many demands on your time, but this does need to be a priority. Thank you.
