I’m not an expert at all, so my apologies if I have misidentified, but it looks like there are two Japanese knotweed plants in the verge next to the pavement. This is before the Lidl car park as you are walking to it along London road on the left. There’s a path cut through which goes up to the railway line and there appears to be a plant on either side of it. Spade shaped leaves and reddish stalks. Hopefully it is just something that looks like it but wanted to give you a chance to check it before any cutting takes place.
