This pedestrian island is on A413 between Kings Road & Cromwell Close. As you can see from the photo it is very narrow here and as a result, there is not enough room for lorries & large vehicles to pass by safely when pedestrians are using the island to cross. This is especially so when two lorries are passing together. Should there be anything protruding from the trucks the consequence could be tragic. The Island is also sited very close to a bus stop, so that when a bus halts there is no room for traffic to pass without contravening the keep left arrow. During peak hours the risk is greatly increased.
