On the public footpath behind 8 Beamish Way Winslow MK18 3EU

Reported via mobile in the Trees category anonymously at 10:42, Fri 25 June 2021

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later

Ash trees bordering the far side of the public footpath are overhanging the path so much that they are now dipping down into our back garden and those of other residents along the length of this pathway. When in full leaf and it is windy or wet they are heavy and overhang our fence to some extent and are low into the garden. Already several smaller branches have broken off into the garden. To my knowledge no maintenance work has taken place on the trees in this hedgerow for at least 12 years. This pathway is adjacent to the local primary school and is used daily by many people going to school and walking to town. It is becoming increasingly overgrown and ash tree branches are overhanging in many places. Some have already broken off further up the pathway and crashed down in high winds. Local residents cleared the path way of the fallen tree during last winter as there was no apparent response to a phone call telling of the incident. This problem along the length of the pathway needs attention before there is a risk of damage to people or property.
