Pavement narrowed by nettles
Reported via desktop in the Footpath / pavement problem category by Robert Parlett at 14:23, Monday 5 July 2021
Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later
Large beds of nettles and other foliage have overgrown the footway, narrowing it significantly. At some points it is only about 18 inches wide.
This is exceptionally dangerous to pedestrians for the following reasons: the speed limit is 40mph, and is liberally ignored, the road is narrow, and vans and lorries drive right up against the kerb. This means that their wing mirrors overhang the pavement, and any pedestrian walking close to the edge is in considerable danger of being struck.
