Inefficient speed restriction signage

Reported via mobile in the Sign problem category anonymously at 08:30, Sunday 18 July 2021

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

The existing 30 signs are quite weathered and have very poor visibility. As does most of the signage in Mill End. It is very hard to see the 30 speed sign in time to slow down. It would be beneficial to be moved slightly further down the road (towards Marlow) to account for the bends in the road and increase their visibility. More appropriate road markings need to be added, the existing one on the road cannot be seen because it is worn but also in a poor position. Lights on the 30 signage might help. The hedges are also overgrown along the road which reduces the visibility of any signage so cars speed through Mill End. The majority of the road passing through Mill End is a public footpath which is used frequently. With the amount of cars and lorries speeding through at 60mph or more, it is very dangerous and an accident waiting to happen.
