2A ivins road

Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 10:11, Thursday 29 July 2021

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

Damp patches have appeared on grass verge outside 2A since gas works were completed 2/3 months ago. Thames water / Cadent have been contacted. Thames water say no water mains run under grass verge so believe new gas piping pushed through existing casing have cracked existing casing allowing a secondary source of water carried within to escape. Water is seeping under boundary brick wall and into garden of 2A. Both parties have indicated that a trench would need to be dug to investigate, as yet this has not been done.

  • Good Morning As at 10.45 Monday 02 August 2021 neither Cadent or Thames Water have made contact with the occupant. I believe they had a 72 hour window but am unsure if this is 3 working days ( weekends not included ) Thank you

Photos taken wednesday 25 august pm show residual water still in hole .White circle was present on grass to back fill ? Why was hole ok to backfill while water still present ? Team arrived 11am 29 august to backfill . I asked them to stop as issue unresolved . Neighbour in attendance and confirmed to team that water has been present for at least last 10 days. Surely the hole remains open pending further investigation?
